Mulder and the Doctor, part 2
((continued from here))
Mulder is becoming quite wary—and suspicious—of this guy. If this is alien technology, why does he know it so well? He looks like a regular human being.
"Hey," he grunts as he steps towards the console to investigate it. No familiar buttons to him. "Where are you from, exactly?" He takes a wild guess. "Wales?"

Oh, wow. You really haven't put it together have you? Yet, so clever otherwise.
"Gallifrey."
no subject
"What does this do, turn the box red?"
And as he lets his friend's answer sink in, he keeps the questions coming.
"What is Gallifrey, a city in Wales?" What the hell is Gallifrey?

Bad human! Bad!
"Oh, you really know how to pick them don't you?" Is the remark outloud to the Tardis, "My home planet."
no subject
"Okay, okay. Damn."
After the Doctor explained his situation, Mulder could only squint for a moment and ask:
"Planet? So you're an alien? I've seen uglier aliens. You're a catch compared to the Greys."

You know how many times he's been approached by "alien abductees"? Too many. And it's always the Greys. Why are they always the grey ones? Mulder closes his eyes and sighs.
"Look, I don't want to fight with you. I just want to understand what's going on. You're not associated with those psychopaths, are you?"
no subject
Then a whisper, "No." Which how it's stated it sounds like he's on his own.
no subject
"Okay. Then we're fine."
Exhausted from their running, manipulating others, and climbing through vents, Mulder turns and leans back against the console, deciding to catch is breath. This place seems safe enough. Time for a rest.
"So," he grumbles. "What's Gallifrey like? Is it desolate and grey like the moon?"
no subject
As far as the Grey's, The Doctor will get back to that later.
no subject
"I'm fine. Don't worry," he says with dismissal. "I've been through worse. Just give me a few minutes to lie against a wall or something."

"So you're an alien but you're not grey and you're from Gallifrey. Anything else I should know? Are you going to probe me in my sleep? Because I left my lube at home."

Scully, for instance, had had her ovum extracted, leaving her infertile, and her belly expanded for reasons he could never figure out.
no subject
"Not all aliens are bad. Just like not all humans are bad."
why did this not come up on my notifications?
"I know. There's always one killjoy at a party that ruins it for everyone."
He takes a deep breath, trying to distract himself from the bad memories he's accumulated and turns his attention back to the Doctor.
"Do you know those grey aliens? You know, the kind with the big black eyes, giant heads, and tiny mouths? Pretty short? Don't say much?"
no subject
"Not personally." And they're telepathic hence the lack of talking.
